Silica Twisted Yarn (Rope)
- Manufactured from multiple strands of S-TEX silica yarns twisted together to create a yarn / rope which is highly resilient and has excellent space filling properties.
- The basic fibres are inorganic, sterile and incombustible and suitable for temperatures up to 1000°C in optimum conditions.
- They are resistant to oils, solvents and most chemicals, but direct contact with live steam should be avoided.
- The fibres will not rot and are unaffected by fungi, insects and bacteria etc.
- These yarns / ropes are not braided (held together) and would, if cut, unravel. It is this characteristic that makes the ropes versatile in that they can be twisted by hand more or less tightly to suit the void.
