Asbestos and more recently Refractory Ceramic Fibres are considered carcinogenic in one form or another. Bio Soluble Fibre Textiles were initially introduced as a safer alternative but more recently it is widely accepted that BELCOTEX® 110 fibres are the best alternative as the fibres are completely non respirable, contain no organic mattter, and can withstand temperatures up to 1200ºC.
