Quartzel Felt
Quartzel Felt
- felts are produced from pure fused quartz fibre.
- fibre is a homogeneous, non-porous, continuous, amorphous, ultra-pure silica glass with a SiO2 content of 99.95%.
- Outstanding electromagnetic properties thanks to the lowest dielectric constant and dielectric loss among mineral materials (resp. 3.74 and 0.0002 at 10 GHz) on pollutant material.
- Resistant to most acids.
- Low CTE (0.54x10-6 K-1) & good resistance to thermal shock.
- Integrity as insulating material up to 1050°C.
- Good resistance to vibrations allowing long life cycle.
- Easy to cut and non hazardous.
- The 'sizing'; sometimes referred to as 'finish' on the fibres have been calcinated (removed) to ensure there are no impurities.
is a registered brand of Saint Gobain Advanced Ceramic Composites.
