Kynol Fibre Technical Information
Kynol is a high-performance novoloid fibre with a three-dimensional network structure which originates from the reactivity of phenol. Initially developed in 1968 as a part of space technology development in the United States, full-scale industrial production began in 1982. GCI is currently the only manufacturer of the novoloid fibre in the world.
Kynol is a high-performance fibre with excellent flame resistance, non-meltability, low smoke emission, and chemical resistance, and can be processed into any textiles (felt, cloth, thread, etc.).
