Assembled Glass Yarn and Cord
- Used to in heat tracing applications or for further treatment to make sewing thread.
- E Glass, S2 Glass or Quartz are manufactured by plying multiple continuous filament yarns, multiple times to produce a uniform cord. This is also known as assembled yarn because the yarns are assembled from singles yarn, plied together and so on to create the desired uniform presentation.
- E Glass Yarns are rated to 550°C in optimum conditions.
- S2 Glass Yarns are rated to 800°C in optimum conditions
