Polyamide Nylon Webbing
Polyamide Nylon Webbing
Olive Drab Nylon webbing is a strong, woven narrow fabric made from Nylon 6 or Nylon 6.6 fibres, technical information for which can be found here. It’s known for its durability, flexibility, and resistance to abrasion, making it a popular choice for various applications. Nylon or polyamide webbing can be supplied with Mil Specs and commercial grades and supplied either piece dyed or yarn dyed.
- Piece Dyed is when the loom state (uncoated roll of fabric is subjected to a dye bath). The advantage of piece dying is being able to match a greater number of shades as dye baths can be easily modified.
- Yarn dyed is when the webbing is woven from pre dyed yarn. This tends to produce a webbing with greater colour consistency but less available options.
Some key characteristics include:
- Strength: Nylon webbing is incredibly strong and can handle significant weight and stress.
- Flexibility: It has a soft touch and is flexible, which makes it easy to work with.
- Abrasion Resistance: It resists wear and tear, making it suitable for rugged use.
- Lightweight: Despite its strength, nylon webbing is relatively lightweight.
Roll Length is 50m.
