- These tapes were made to compliment our wide cloth versions of our fabric having been slit from SR660/R2/300/1500 (960gms) and SR1050/R2/800/1500 (1850gms). This allows us to offer the same excellent high performance product but in different widths to suit the customers application.
- In particular, narrow widths allow for precise encapsulation and application, ensuring a snug fit around pipe work of varying sizes.
- The heavy weight high performance silicone coating enhances the fabrics resistance to wear, tear and external factors, aiding longevity.
- These tapes can also be sealed at the edges post slitting where the loose glass fibre may be exposed creating a further barrier to water / steam ingress or any wicking from the sides.
- Maximum continuous operating temperature is 250°C, short periods up to 280°C. Base fabric will withstand 550°C (unstressed), melting point >800°C.
