- Coats® Pyrostar™ is a 100% long staple spun meta-aramid sewing thread that offers outstanding, permanent heat and flame protection up to 371°C.
- The long staple technology allows a finer thread to achieve similar strength characteristics to a coarser, staple spun product.
- It is ideal for flame retardant clothing which requires very fine seams without compromising strength. It is recommended for flame retardant embroidery.
- Pyrostar™ is EN ISO 15025 certified. This allows the thread to be used in garments requiring EN ISO 11611, EN ISO 11612, EN ISO 141160 and EN 469 certification.
- Pyrostar™ may also be used in a wide range of other applications such as filters and sealings.
- It delivers excellent strength, durability, seam appearance and superior sewing performance due to its special finishing.
