OPAN Felt
- High Performance felt manufactured from cut oxidised polyacrylonitrile (OPAN) fibres that are needle punched by special process to produce a high volume batt.
- The needlemat has good textile characteristics, excellent mechanical resistance and stability.
- The needlemat is soft, voluminous, supple, easy to perforate, cut and handle.
- Oxidised polyacrylonitrile (OPAN) fibres do not burn, melt or drip and is inherently fire resistant.
- High LOI value (Limiting Oxygen Index).
- Excellent flammability classification.
- High thermal stability.
- Very good chemical resistance.

- OPAN-SX has a high performance black silicone coated glass cloth laminated to one side of the OPAN Felt to produce an outstanding multilayer welding blanket material that can thermally insulate as well as protect against weld splatter, molten splash, water and oil.
- OPAN-FA has a reflective 12µ Aluminium Foil Laminated to one side that offers a high resistance to flame and heat.
