Supersil Pyrosleeve (Fire Sleeve)
- Supersil Firesleeve is manufactured from "E" glass fibre yarn and coated with high grade iron oxide silicone elastomer rubber.
- Continuous protection at an operating temperature of 260°C in optimum conditions.
- Ability to withstand a molten splash at 1200°C.
- Highly resistant to most oils, hydraulic fluids, acids and alkalis.
- When exposed to flame the high grade fire stopping rubber will form a protective SiO2 layer.
- Excellent flame resistance.
- Good abrasion resistance.
- There are two grades, an industrial grade and aerospace grade. Whilst there is very little difference between them from a performance point of view; the aerospace grade has been certified to international standards, the industrial grade has not.
