Thermal Ladder Tape
Textile Technologies Thermal Ladder Webbings are specialised high-temperature insulating tapes designed with gaps in the central warp threads. These gaps enable reliable sealing and protection in stoves, boilers, kilns, and other industrial heating applications.
Bolt Hole, Drop Warp or Ladder Section.
Thermal Ladder Tapes, also known as bolthole tapes, are woven tapes where central warp yarns are removed to create a ladder-like structure. This design allows the tapes to pass over bolts, studs, or edges, providing secure sealing around fasteners or glass panels while maintaining thermal insulation. They are made from high-temperature resistant fibres such as E-glass, ceramic, silica, or bio-soluble materials.
Depending on the application, ladder tapes can vary in thickness (commonly from 1.5mm to 6mm) and width (25mm to 150mm), and they can be supplied plain (loomstate) or with a self-adhesive to aid applying in situ.
In summary, Thermal Ladder Tapes are essential for applications requiring high-temperature insulation and sealing. They offer durability, flexibility, and a precise fit around bolts or glass panels, making them suitable for stoves, furnaces, kilns, boilers, and industrial piping systems.
