- These tapes were made to complement our wide cloth versions of our fabric having been slit from 960gms and 1850gms silicone coated cloth. This allows us to offer the same excellent high-performance product but in different widths to suit the customers application.
- In particular, narrow widths allow for precise encapsulation and application, ensuring a snug fit around pipe work of varying sizes.
- The heavy weight high performance silicone coating enhances the fabrics resistance to wear, tear and external factors, aiding longevity.
- These tapes can also be sealed at the edges post slitting where the loose glass fibre may be exposed creating a further barrier to water / steam ingress or any wicking from the sides.
- Maximum continuous operating temperature is 250°C, short periods up to 280°C. Base fabric will withstand 550°C (unstressed), melting point >800°C.
